PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OR NURSE PRACTITIONER Full-time and part-time. This position will provide episodic care to patients in an urgent care setting. Responsibilities include: "Performing complete physical exams and assessments of patients; "Ordering, performing, and interpreting tests; "Determining course of treatment for patients; "Providing services including x-ray interpretation and laceration repair. Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of South Dakota required. Two years of Urgent Care, Emergency, or Family Practice in the last 3-5 years preferred. Must be able to work evenings, holidays, and weekends. LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE Full-time, evening shift. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining medical history, taking and recording vital signs, administering patient tests, giving injections, taking x-rays, laboratory testing, patient record keeping, cleaning, organizing and restocking examination rooms. Current South Dakota licensed practical nurse license required. Must be able to work evenings, holidays, and weekends. CODING/BILLING SPECIALIST Full-time. CPT and ICD-9 coding/billing of E&M, lab, and x-ray services, claims filing, payment/adjustment posting and reimbursement follow-up. Related experience required. Coding certification required. Clinic coding/billing experience preferred. ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST Part-time, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 7:30 am - 12:00 pm. Responsibilities include greeting patients, creating and updating patient demographic and insurance information, verifying and analyzing health insurance benefits, explaining payment policies and billing/collections processes, accepting, posting, and balancing cash drawer, scheduling follow-up appointments, ensuring that the lobby area is neat and clean, and obtaining medical records as needed. Attention to detail, computer proficiency and excellent communication skills required. Minimum of 2 years medical office experience preferred.
